Dr. Keith A. Robinson is a native of Gary, IN. He earned his B.A. degree in Secondary English Education from Ball State University, his Master’s in Education Administration and Supervision from Roosevelt University and his doctorate from National Louis University in Educational Leadership. Keith taught English in his hometown of Gary, IN, at Roosevelt High School, Pike High School, in Indianapolis, IN, Lane Technical College Prep, in Chicago and Evanston Township High School. Keith has served students from the Evanston/Skokie community for more than 25 years. After a decade of teaching and coaching, Keith began serving students, community and families as a high school administrator. In this capacity, he served as Dean of Students at Niles West High School, before moving to Niles North High School as Assistant Principal for Operations, where he was in charge of the day to day operations of the school. Currently, Keith serves as the Associate Principal of Educational Services at Evanston Township High School. Keith has dedicated his life to education and service. His commitment to social justice, equity and access has been the guiding light to his personal and professional work. Keith has served on the Ball State Black Constituent Society for more than 20 years. He has been recognized as a BSU G.O.L.D (Graduate of the last decade) Winner and Teacher’s College Distinguished Service Award Winner in 2019. Member and Board President of Foundation65, a local Evanston organization that supports Arts and Literacy programming in the local elementary school district, and currently serving as a Board Member for FAN (Family Action Network), Ball State University Foundation, Teacher’s College Advisory Council at Ball State University, member of the Foundation Board of Directors at Ball State University, Trustee for the Village of Skokie and is active in a number of professional education organizations. He has been a member of the Chessmen of the Northshore for 17 years. He is also a life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Dr. Robinson has received numerous accolades throughout his career. Keith lives with his wife of 28 years, Sharon, a pediatrician/ medical director at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois, and two daughters. Taryn(22), a 2026 Duke and Kari(20), a second year chemical engineering student at the University of Maryland-College Park.
